People

Johor Bahru had a population of 497,097. The population is 47.5 percent Malay, 34.2 percent Chinese, 9.0 percent Indian, 9.3 percent foreigners.

As seen from the picture above, most of the people who come to Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, or often known as Wen Hua Jie by most chinese, are surprising malays. They always come to visit the bazaar here at night.

A group of local people roaming around the streets. Some of the people are buying stuff in the area.

We came across an indian guy in wheelchair, probably around his early 40's. As you can see from the picture, he is selling hydrogen balloons.

The picture shows a malay couple together at a local stall deciding on what they are planning to buy. Its really nice to see the things people do together when they've been romantically.

We found a few chinese side shops which are open by chinese people

There is a Chineses kid performing at the side of the street.

There is also some kadazan, taking their wedding photo.

There is also chinese festival going on in the baazar, Chinese and also malays comes to visit this festival.
